Genealogy and Local History

The Genealogy Room is located on the 2nd floor of our library. We have various materials in print, as well as microfilm. Within our Genealogy Room, you will find a wide variety of materials available for reference. Those include, but are not limited to, newspaper clippings, birth and death records, familial files, marriage records, cemetery records, census information, maps, and other materials that provide information on Lincoln County and other surrounding areas of interest. 

If you are out of the area and need genealogical research assistance, you may call us at 931-433-3286 or email . A member of our staff will be happy to take the necessary information to begin searching. Please note that availability to assist with genealogical research is dependent of available staff and amount of research requested.
